How do I setup my games console to access the internet?
You will need an active internet connection. The faster the better. You will also need an ethernet modem router or a wireless modem router depending on whether you want to use wireless.
You can visit MyTech at the KC Self Service Centre, 37 Carr Lane (formally Telephone House) Hull. Alternatively, you can order an ethernet/wireless device from KC either by calling the Customer Care Team on 01482 602444 or by visiting our online shop found here.
You can also purchase an ethernet/wireless modem router from any computer retailer but we cannot provide any free telephone support to configure your device.
MyTech from Karoo can now configure your games console to connect to the internet via your ethernet/wireless modem router. You can leave your PS3, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii with our skilled Technicians and we will ensure your console is configured to connect to the internet. Please click for more information and prices.
You can configure your games console yourself or with the assistance of your games console vendor. You do not always need to connect your games console to a router as it is possible to use something called Internet Connection Sharing. This involves you running an ethernet cable to the network card in your computer. It is not recommended that you connect your console in this way and MyTech will not be able to offer any advice or configure your games console in this way.
