Why is KC powered by O2?
KC doesn't have a mobile network so we're partnering with O2 to offer our customers a great mobile service.
Why can I only get KC Mobile as part of a Bundle?
We're offering KC Mobile as part of a landline calls and broadband Bundle which means we can offer our customers a mobile service cheaper than other mobile providers offering the same or similar unlimited calls and texts tariffs.
What's included in my tariff?
Unlimited minutes and texts - Unlimited minutes and texts are inclusive for both the KC Mobile Handset and SIM only options. This includes all UK landline calls to 01, 02, and 03 numbers and calls and texts to all UK network mobiles mobile whilst in the UK. 1GB Data allowance - If you're not in an O2 network area and there isn't any other WiFi available, you have 1GB of data allowance to use per month, which is more than enough to browse websites and watch YouTube videos on your mobile.
What's not included in my tariff?
SMS picture messaging is not inclusive and charged at 35p per message. Calls to non-geographic numbers starting with 05 and 08 are not inclusive along with premium rate 07744, 07755 and 09 numbers. International calls, texts and roaming are also chargeable. All call charges can be viewed at pricing.k-c.co.uk
Can I get a SIM only KC Mobile contract?
You can choose our SIM only option at a reduced price if you already have a handset of your own and you'll still benefit from the same tariff. You may need to unlock your current mobile phone to use the KC Mobile SIM only tariff.
What happens when I sign up for KC Mobile?
When you order KC Mobile online, you'll receive a call back from our customer services team who will take some of your details and add KC Mobile to your account. Once your order has been placed, you'll receive your handset and/or your SIM card within 4 working days. When you've received your handset and/or your SIM card, call us on 01482 604981 and we'll activate it for you.
When will I start getting charged for my KC Mobile service?
You'll start getting changed for your KC Mobile service once you've activated your SIM card or 8 days from the day of receiving your goods, even if you haven't activated your service.
Can I change my mind after placing my order?
If you change your mind within 8 days of receiving your handset and/or SIM card, you can cancel your KC Mobile service without incurring any charges. If you change your mind after 8 days has passed or after you've activated your KC Mobile, then early termination fees will be charged.
What happens if my KC Mobile becomes faulty?
Your KC Mobile comes with 12 month warranty on the handset and 6 months on the battery. If your handset becomes faulty within 30 days of your purchase, call us and we'll collect your faulty handset and send you a new one. After 30 days, you'll be responsible for the return of the handset to Samsung for repair. Please consider damage insurance to cover your mobile against accidental damage as this is not covered within the inclusive warranty.
What do I do when I'm travelling abroad?
International/Roaming & data access is supplied as standard. You'll be responsible for any Roaming charges incurred when travelling abroad. If you don't want to be charged turn this setting off when overseas. International calls, texts and roaming are also chargeable. Charges can take up to 60 days to show on your bill. What do I do if my phone is lost or stolen?
During Monday to Friday 8.30am to 7.30pm and Saturdays 9am till 5pm please call us on 604981. Out of these hours, please call 0844 8090200. A replacement SIM will be sent to you within 4 working days and a standard replacement handset can be supplied to you for £90. Please consider theft insurance to cover your mobile handset as this is not covered within the inclusive warranty.
I'd like to buy KC Mobile for my daughter but how can I be sure she won't run up a huge bill?
KC Mobile comes with a £100 credit limit for extra call charges. A warning text will be sent at 80% of this to let you know that you're getting close to your limit. This amount can be lowered at your request. If you reach your credit limit then your KC Mobile service will be temporarily cut off. You will need to call us to re-instate your service.
Can I buy more than one KC Mobile handset?
Yes you can add a second KC Mobile tariff as part of a landline calls and broadband Bundle. Please contact us on 604981 to discuss your options.
I'd like to buy KC Mobile for my son. How can I be sure that he can't access inappropriate content?
Content filtering is applied as standard. If you'd like to remove this, please call us on 604981.
