What is the code of practice?

KC has opted into this voluntary code which makes sure that our customers are properly informed about the broadband speed they should expect to achieve.

How do we calculate your speed?

The speed we quote is taken from a large cross-sample of KC lines using our ADSL2+ services right across the network, which is split by postcodes so we can provide you with a typical average speed range for your street.

The range we quote is based on the 20th and 80th percentile of customers in your postcode area. This means it’s the speed range, between the bottom 20% and the top 80% achieved in your area to give you a best indication of the speed you can expect.

What if I’m not getting this speed?
