The full line-up for this year’s Yorkshire International Business Convention (YIBC) has been announced, with Sir Tim Berners-Lee – inventor of the World Wide Web – topping the bill as the keynote speaker.
The event at the Bridlington Spa on Friday 10June is being supported by KC as the lead sponsor for the second year running.

The line-up is completed by adventurer Monty Halls, property entrepreneur Caroline Marsh, and business leader Terry Hill.
Mark Conway, Director of Business Services at KC, commented: “The events of Business Week offer inspiration, ideas, advice, guidance and practical support to local business people and entrepreneurs in a way that other cities and regions across the UK have learnt from and imitated.
“YIBC is the flagship event of the week and gives people from our region the opportunity to be inspired by world-class speakers, as well as the chance to connect with customers and suppliers.
“We’re delighted to support the event again this year.”

About the speakers
Sir Tim Berners-Lee

Today he is still at the forefront of the development of the Web and since 2008 has been a Director of the World Wide Web Foundation, which funds and co-ordinates efforts to further the potential of the Web to benefit humanity.
He is the author, with Mark Fischetti, of the book “Weaving the Web” on the past, present and future of the Web.
