KC has won a prestigious regional marketing award for the development and launch of its refreshed brand earlier this year.

It won the Yorkshire Company of the Year category of the Marketing Industry Network (MiN) Awards, in which entrants were asked to demonstrate the communications strategies they have employed and difficulties they’ve overcome to make changes to their business.

KC’s entry focused not just on the development of KC’s updated brand identity but also on the new ways of working it has introduced to improve the overall experience it gives its customers.

KC Chief Executive Kevin Walsh said:  “Winning this award reflects that we’ve done more than just adopt a new look – we’ve listened to what our customers and employees have said about how we can improve, and made changes to the way we work as a result.

“The judges commented that our award entry stood out because it was all about people, and it’s true that we’ve involved hundreds of our people in this project, which is far from over – we’ll continue to put our customers at the heart of what we do so that the communities we serve can be proud that we’re part of local life.”

Hot on the heels of this success, KC is already up for another award for its work to develop its brand – earlier this week it was announced as a finalist in the Telecommunications category of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Excellence Awards.
