KC has launched a new phone system for businesses that makes it simpler and cheaper for them to connect with customers, partners and employees.
KC’s SMARTComms is a hosted phone system for businesses, delivered over Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP).
Because the system is internet-based and hosted by KC, one of the main advantages it offers over traditional phone systems is that businesses using it don’t have to invest in hardware or house lots of equipment on-site.
Another benefit is its flexibility – because the cost of the system is based on the number of people using it, it’s suitable for businesses of all sizes, whether they have one employee or 500.
KC’s Director of Business Services, Mark Conway, said: “It’s been possible to make phone calls over the internet for many years now, but while the cost benefits of doing this have been there, the quality hasn’t, so it’s mainly consumers who have benefited from VOIP.
“SMARTComms changes this – it gives customers superb call quality plus advanced features like call routing and voicemail, all within a system that’s easy use, so that lines can be added and moved quickly as their business grows and changes.
“It’s also perfectly suited to today’s working patterns. Because it’s internet-based and can be accessed from anywhere, it means employees can work from home or from other locations can be on the same phone system as office-based employees.”
KC is expecting considerable interest in SMARTComms from the many local businesses that use its Centrex phone system, as Mark explains; “SMARTComms can integrate with or replace Centrex easily, but unlike Centrex, it’s future-proof – as we introduce new features to the SMARTComms system, they’ll be available to customers without them having to invest in new hardware.”
