KC Chief Executive takes on key role at unique education project
Hull Children’s University has announced that KC Chief Executive Kevin Walsh is joining its Board of Directors.
Kevin was invited to join the Board following a personal and business partnership with the Hull Children’s University for the past twelve years.
KC has a unique partnership with Hull Children’s University providing financial assistance and employee volunteers to mentor the children. The telecoms firm also announced it had donated a city centre learning zone, a first for Hull Children’s University, and is developing a technology module, delivered by its employees, to provide innovative learning.
John Buttrick, Hull Children’s University Founder and Manager said: “The continued support and dedication that KC, and Kevin in particular, has given us since we started is fantastic. Together we have already achieved many great things and we are really pleased that Kevin has agreed to join our Board. I can’t thank Kevin and all KC employees enough for continuing to support us.”
The Hull Children’s University aims to raise levels of academic achievement and to develop desire for learning by having fun, learning away from the classroom.
Kevin said: “I am incredibly proud to have been invited to join the Hull Children’s University Board. The work the organisation does in inspiring and engaging young people through education is admirable and I look forward to working even more closely with the organisation for many years to come.
“I would also like to thank all the staff at KC for their support of Children’s University as without their help community initiatives such as this wouldn’t be possible.”
"I cannot thank KC enough for providing a cost effective solution"
