Runners from KC don trainers for charity run
Runners from the region’s leading communications provider, Kingston Communications, are hoping their training will pay off as they get ready to take part in the Jane Tomlinson Hull 10K Corporate Challenge this weekend.
Twenty runners from KC will take place in the event on Sunday 23 May, 10 of whom will run as part of a Corporate Challenge team.
Anna Millar, KC Community Relations Manager said: “Our staff are very generous with their time and energy in supporting community and charitable events. The team has been training for a number of weeks and is really looking forward to taking part in what’s guaranteed to be an amazing day for everyone involved.”
KC Corporate Challenge team member, Tony Cross said: “The city has really got behind the Jane Tomlinson 10K, and it’s great to be able to play a part in it. The Corporate Challenge is a fantastic way to be able to network with other businesses, whilst raising money for charity and creating a bit of competition away from the office.”
The Jane Tomlinson Appeal was established by the late Jane Tomlinson CBE to raise funds for children's and cancer charities. The charities that have benefited from Jane's support cover areas including medical research, cancer treatment and specialist care.
"My sincere gratitude and appreciation for the swift results you achieved"
