KC in the running for top industry awards
Communications provider Kingston Communications has been shortlisted in four categories of the 2010 ISPA (Internet Service Provider Association) Awards, which recognise best practice in the internet industry.
KC’s Karoo broadband service has been named as a finalist in the Best Consumer Fixed Broadband Service and the Best Consumer Customer Service ISP categories.
KC has also been shortlisted in the Digital Inclusion category, which recognises organisations and individuals for their efforts to enable more people to get online, and the Corporate Social Responsibility category, which honours organisations for their positive impact on wider society.
In selecting finalists for broadband awards, judges took into account the results of independent monitoring over a three month period.
KC’s Chief Executive Kevin Walsh commented: “This great news reflects the quality of our Karoo services and our commitment to making them the best in the market in terms of speed, reliability and customer service.
“I’m delighted too that we’ve been shortlisted in the Digital Inclusion for our efforts to make it easier for people to get online and that our community relations activity has been recognised in the Corporate Social Responsibility category."
“We’re proud of the part we play in the local community and being recognised in this category is testament to our involvement.”
KC’s Eclipse Internet service has also been shortlisted for an ISPA in the Best Business Customer Service ISP category, putting Kingston Communications in the running for an award in five categories overall.
Award winners will be announced at an event on 8 July 2010 in London.
